The IF function checks whether a condition is met and returns 1 value. If the statement is TRUE, it returns one value; if FALSE, it returns another value.
You can type in your own statement and returned value, or use the Equation Wizard to help you create both a statement and value to be returned.
There are 3 types of statements, and each is required for the IF equation.
- An expression that can evaluate to TRUE or FALSE
- This is the value that is returned if Logical_text is TRUE
- This is the value that is returned if Logical_text is FALSE
