What's New Version 12

AutoTag

Release Notes

New Addition Description
Connection Debuggers for SQL and XML Tools for analyzing and fixing failed connections to data sources.
OData support Support for OData as a data source. OData includes the best of both XML (hierarchy) and SQL (large database and organization) combined.
Enhanced Charting Enhanced charting fidelity for PDF, HTML, and Printer output
Enhanced Excel support Support for hidden rows/columns, frozen rows/columns, worksheets that are not printed, the cell range set for the printer, and horizontal page breaks
Joining multiple generated reports into a single PDF This is different from the import tag because the import tag would convert the imported document to an object in the master template. So an XLSX file imported into a DOCX became a Word table – which is very different from an Excel worksheet. This new API joins them in their native format; it joins the report objects. So you can run multiple reports and you then join those generated reports. It is not limited to static documents.
Data Count tool Tells you exactly how many times the forEach loops in your template will iterate, useful for debugging templates that are using up too much memory.
Word fields Autotag supports the fields FORMCHECKBOX, FORMDROPDOWN, and FORMTEXT where on DocX, PDF and HTML output they are form fields. For other outputs it renders it as text.
Enhanced Content Control Full support for form fields and forms in content controls.
